The Amersfoort collection and processing site is a joint venture between Boskalis Dolman bv and Smink Afvalverwerking bv. Smink Boskalis Dolman provides a total solution for the storage and processing of contaminated soils using a process that focuses on the maximum re-use of sand and minimizing the amount of residue. The site has been certified in accordance with BRL 7500 standard.

The site in Amersfoort processes the following materials:

• heavily contaminated soil (including soil containing asbestos)
• mildly contaminated soil (including soil containing asbestos)
• contaminated sandy dredged material
• sand from sewers, drains, and street sweepers, crushed sand
• contaminated roof gravel
• contaminated granulate from road building
• screened sand.

In addition, the following services are availeble at the site:

• the dupply of washed sand in accordance with BRL 9335
• extractive remediation of mineral rich, stony materials
• the temporary storage of soil and building materials
• testing stored soil and building materials in accordance with the Soil Quality Degree
• transporation to and drom the site in Amersfoort.
